Printable Holders for VR Headsets are here to provide ease of use, reliability, and accuracy of placement of a socket with the Alt on the VR headset. The holders described in this article provide you only with some socket placement options. You can place the sockets elsewhere so it suits your needs.

Printing and getting started

These steps will guide you in making and attaching the holder, as well as in fastening the Alt and setting its placement:
  1. Download a 3D model for your VR headset (Meta2, Meta3, PICONeo3, PICO4, LenovoThinkRealityVRX).
  2. Print a holder using 3D printer.
  3. Attach the holder to your VR headset. First, secure the lower part of the holder, then the upper one (until it clicks into place).
    Attach the holder in the specified sequence to prevent it from breaking.
  4. Place the socket with the Alt in a special depression. Fasten it with screws — use either M2x10 DIN 912 or M2x12 DIN 912 screws.
    Avoid using tape to secure a socket on a holder. Fasten a socket with screws to be sure the device is fastened properly.
  5. Choose and copy a link suitable for your device (Meta2, Meta3, PICONeo3, PICO4, LenovoThinkRealityVRX) to set its placement. Then do the following:
    • go to the Placements tab;
    • click + in the right corner of the screen;
    • choose From link;
    • paste the link in the Enter url here line;
    • enter a name in the Enter name here line and click SAVE.
      Note that the link and name lines can be autofilled.
  6. Click Set as default to set the loaded placement as a default one.
